Ryan Wilhelm is a Partner in the Atlanta office and practices in the Firm’s Construction Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and General Liability practice areas.
Within his Construction Litigation practice, Ryan represents design professionals, contractors, and owners in construction matters resolved through litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Ryan is also actively involved in assisting clients during the contract drafting and negotiation phase, as well as during the design and building phases of construction projects.
Ryan also represents product manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in a wide variety of product-related matters. This includes defending clients in product-liability claims, as well as advising clients on assessing potential safety issues, conducting accident investigations, and taking appropriate steps to resolve safety issues. Ryan’s experience in this area has resulted with him advising clients on issues arising in many jurisdictions throughout the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico, Germany, and Australia.
Ryan also practices in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and General Litigation practice areas. He has extensive experience in handling general business litigation matters such as breach of contract claims and tortious interference claims. Ryan also has extensive experience in handling premises liability claims, automotive claims, and insurance coverage disputes.
Examples of Ryan’s experience in these practice areas include:
• Representing multiple product manufacturers and distributors in more than 250 toxic tort personal injury and wrongful death claims currently pending in Georgia;
• Successfully obtaining the dismissal of an engineering firm in a crane collapse case involving approximately $20 million in alleged damages; and
• Assisted in successfully defeating motion for preliminary injunction based on the alleged breach of teaming agreement allegedly valued at more than $720 million.
In recognition of his professional accomplishments, Ryan was selected by his peers in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011 as an honoree on the Georgia Rising Stars® list published in Atlanta Magazine.
